Sustainability is at YFY's core business philosophies

We've published annual sustainability reports since 2014, aligning with international standards to showcase our sustainable efforts and achievements. Our report follows SASB, TCFD, and GRI Standards, including info from the GRI Content Index Table for Jan 1 - Dec 31, 2023. It's third-party verifed by SGS for GRI compliance at AA1000 Type 2 Moderate Assurance level.

Reporting Period

The last YFY sustainability report was released in June 2023. Unless noted, this report covers Jan 1 - Dec 31, 2023. We do annual sustainability reports, with the next one due in Aug. 2024.

Reporting Boundaries and Calculation Basis

Financial data is sourced from the annual report, following International Financial Reporting Standards(IFRS) in New Taiwan Dollar. This covers investments and equity- method investees in consolidated financial statements. Refer to our 2023 annual report for details.
Non-financial data in this report, including social, quality, and environmental performance, is sourced from our operating locations and relevant departments, using international indicators and units.
Considering the materiality of discloesd information and management requirements, the boundaries of this report do not fully align with the entities included in the company's consolidated financial statements. Instead, the focus is on core bussiness areas: paper manufacturing and sales, specifically the Forest, Products Group, which constitute 85% of YFY's revenue.

Information Recompilation

Regarding greenhouse gas emissions: Due to varying third-party verification schedules at different plants, the emissions disclosed in this report for the reporting year are estimated by each plant following ISO14064-1 and in the subsequent year's report if verified.
For other data and information: When data is updated through third-party verification of the sustainbility report, accounting, and environmental figures within the bussiness group entity covered by our reporting boundaries, the entity's disclosures willl take precedence. YFY will also update this information on the ESG section of the company's website and in the report for the following year.
